Hassan Amini, the brother of Mohammad Amini, one of the victims of the Zhina uprising, was sentenced to six months in prison for “meeting with other petitioner families”.

According to a report received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Association (KMMK) news center, Hassan’s case is related to June 2023, when a group of families plaintiff from Sna (Sanandaj) Diwandreh and Divolan (Dehgolan) visited the families of those killed in Saqqez and Bukan. On the way back, the security forces of the Iranian regime arrested more than thirty of them, and Hassan was among them.
In the Bukan Hassan court, he was accused of “participating in an illegal assembly” and according to the verdict, he handed himself over to Sanandaj prison on Sunday, July 21, 2024; And today, it’s been 28 days that #Mohammed_Amini’s brother has been in prison during a news blackout.
After the elections of July this year, the summoning, interrogation, arrest and kidnapping of petitioner families has increased dramatically, and many of these pressures have not yet been reported to the media. Only in the last few weeks, dozens of members of the plaintiff’s families have been summoned for information in different cities in Iran.
