Urmia: Execution of Three Prisoners Carried Out

K.M.M.K:

According to reports, on the early morning of Sunday, November 9, 2025, the death sentences of three prisoners were carried out at the central prison of Urmia, Iran.

The executed individuals were identified as Reza Molaei, 48, from the village of Qolangi; Mohammadreza Badavi, 47, father of four; and a person named Mehdi (surname unknown). Two of them had been in detention since 2019.

Local sources highlighted a lack of transparency in the judicial process and serious ambiguities in their cases.

Reza Molaei’s case had been overturned twice by the Supreme Court, and his family stated that there was no reliable evidence of drug possession in his file.
