K.M.M.K

According to the KMMK News Center, Farshad Thouri, a resident of the village of Balu near Urmia, was arrested on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, during a raid on his home by agents of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and transferred to the Urmia intelligence detention center. No official information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest, his place of detention, or any potential charges.

Informed sources stated that security agents entered Thouri’s home without any judicial warrant to carry out the arrest. Reports indicate that since his detention—now on the sixth day—he has been denied access to a lawyer, phone calls, and visits from family members.

Family and relatives have expressed deep concern about his health and fate and are calling for transparent information from judicial and security authorities.

Family Background: Farshad’s brother, Javad Thouri, was previously arrested by security police on October 3, 2025, and released temporarily on bail after four days. This prior arrest has heightened the family’s anxiety regarding Farshad’s situation.

As of this report, no official statement has been issued by intelligence or judicial authorities in Urmia regarding the cause or timing of legal proceedings. Domestic and international human rights organizations have urged authorities to immediately clarify his situation and ensure his basic rights, including access to a lawyer and communication with his family.
