Execution of a Prisoner in Sanandaj on Murder Charge

K.M.M.K:

On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, human rights sources reported that Sasan Mehrani, a prisoner convicted of murder, was executed at the central prison in Sanandaj, Iran.

According to informed sources, Mehrani had been arrested several years ago on charges of intentional murder and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. The execution was carried out in the early hours of the morning without prior public notification.

Recent reports indicate an increase in executions across various Iranian prisons, raising concerns among international human rights organizations about the country’s use of the death penalty.
