According to reports, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Khosrow Basharat, a political prisoner from Mahabad, was executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj.
This citizen had been transferred to solitary confinement on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, for the execution of his death sentence.
It is worth mentioning that Khosrow Basharat, along with Farhad Salimi, Anvar Khezri, Ghasem Abesteh, Davood Abdollahi, and Ayub Sheikheh, had been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary in December 2010 on charges of “corruption on earth” and “enmity against God” through membership in religious groups.
