The water of this wetland is supplied from the Mahabad River and this river flows from the dam of Mahabad after watering the Kani Barazan wetland continues its journey to the Lake Urmia. And as we can see, Lake Urmia and Zarybar in Marivan are also completely drying. And not only has no thought been given to solving this environmental problem, but the Iranian government is trying to dry up the intentional and lush parts of East Kordestan through the flow of water to other non-Cordan neighboring provinces.
