Suicide attempt of a Kurdish refugee in one of the camps in Germany

On Saturday, September 10, 2022, a 23 years old Kurdish refugee from Shaabad, Kermashan province, named Fardin Safarinia, committed suicide in the refugee camp of Hamm, Germany.

According to the report, the named person committed suicide on Saturday morning by hitting a vein in his hand. He was saved by the vigilance of his roommates and was taken to a hospital in Hamm.

It should be mentioned that Fardin Safarinia was a student of Kurd Yarsan in the field of industrial engineering at the University of Kurdistan, who was expelled from the university due to the pressure of the Islamic Republic of Iran government and submitted his asylum request to the German Refugee Organization some time ago.His request was rejected by the German government.

As a result of mental stress caused by the rejection of his asylum application and frustration with the prolongation of his residency process, he committed suicide.

It is worth mentioning that the named person was treated by the hospital’s medical staff and is now under the supervision of a doctor.
