A citizen was sentenced to 18 months in prison in Oshnavieh

A citizen identified as Mehran Soleimanpour from the village of Alian in Oshnaviyeh (Shno) was sentenced by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Oshnaviyeh, headed by Judge Rezaei, to 18 month in prison.

According to the report, the court session of Mehran Soleimanpour was held on Sunday, March, 13, 2022 in the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Oshnavieh, and he was sentenced to 18 months in prison for collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party.

It is worth mentioning that this citizen was temporarily released from the Sepah Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia on Thursday, July15, 2021, on 300 million Tomans bail until the end of the trial.

It should be noted that he was denied the right to have a lawyer and visit his family during his detention.

It should be noted that on the June 24, 2021 security forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards raided the village of Alian, arrested Mehran Silmanpour and another citizen with the identity of Hashem Khoran, and transferred him to the detention center of this organization in Urmia. That forces also detained the citizens and searched Mehran Soleimanpour’s house, confiscating some of their belongings and taking them with.
