Arrest of a Kurdish student and a labor activist on International Workers’ Day

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, a Kurdish citizen named “Vian Mohammadi” from Marivan in Tehran and “Hoshang Karimi” from sna were arrested by Iranian security forces and taken to an unknown place.

According to reports received by KMMK, security forces raided the home of Vian “Asal” Mohammadi in Tehran and arrested him in the presence of his family, confiscating his personal file and computer.

Also in the city of sna, during the International Workers’ Day celebrations, Mr. Hoshang Karimi a labor activist and, was arrested by security forces.

As of this writing, the reason for the arrest and whereabouts of these citizens is unknown.
