On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the death sentence of Amir Mohammad Faroughi, a 26-year-old resident of Qorveh, was carried out in the city’s prison on charges of premeditated murder.
According to informed sources, Faroughi had been arrested six years ago and later sentenced to qisas (retribution in kind) by the judicial authorities.
