On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the daughter of Rozgar Beigzadeh Babamiri, a political prisoner from Bukan, announced on her account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that her father had been sentenced to death.
Rezgar Beigzadeh Babamiri was Detained by security forces on April 17, 2023, during the “women, Life, Freedom” revolution for providing aid and medicine to the wounded. He was later sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Iranian regime’s judicial authorities.
In recent months, judicial authorities have opened a new case against Rozgar Beigzadeh Babamiri, charging him with “rebellion”; a charge that can lead to the death penalty under the laws of the Islamic Republic.
