Woman Carries 300 Pellets in Her Face, Husband’s Fate Still Unknown After 900 Days

K.M.M.K

According to a recent report on the condition of Shahin Abdolghaderi, one of the victims of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” (Women, Life, Freedom) revolution in Bukan, she has been carrying 300 pellets in the right side of her face for over two and a half years—while having no information about the fate of her husband, Osman Mame.

Osman Mame was abducted by security forces on November 18, 2022, just a few weeks after Shahin was shot with pellet bullets on September 28, 2022. Since then, his family has made repeated efforts to find any trace of him, but the only response from authorities has been: “We will inform you.” Officials have claimed that “he is alive,” yet they have provided no evidence or further details.

Security pressures and threats have prevented Shahin and her family from speaking out about their situation. However, in a recent development, Farhad Mahmoudi, a member of a justice-seeking family, broke the silence by sharing images of Shahin and making her situation public.
