Increase in Executions of Citizens in Iranian Regime Prisons

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, the death sentences of 36-year-old Rashid Zeynabi from Borujerd and 36-year-old Seywan Yaghobi from the village of “Besaran” near Sawlawa were carried out in prisons in Khorramabad and Sanandaj (Sena), respectively. Both individuals were executed on charges of “premeditated murder.”

As of the time this report was prepared, the executions of these two citizens have not been officially announced or reported by authorities or media outlets affiliated with the Iranian judiciary.

It is worth noting that earlier, the execution of another individual, Saman Davoudian, also convicted of “premeditated murder,” was confirmed by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network. His execution took place in the central prison of the Iranian regime in Khorramabad (Parsilon).
