According to reports received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Association (KMMK), a young man named Mohammad Azizi from Qasr-e Shirin was fatally shot by Iran’s Special Unit and NOPO forces at the Parvizkhan border market.
Sources stated that on the evening of Sunday, January 5, 2025, the security forces stormed the market and opened fire on Azizi, striking him in the chest and abdomen. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Sources indicate that Azizi had reportedly clashed with Iranian forces the previous week. On the night of the incident, the security personnel allegedly launched an operation to apprehend him. When Azizi refused to surrender, they fatally shot and killed him.
