Five citizens were arrested in Baneh

According to the news received by the Human Rights Association of Kurdistan, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, five citizens named Ali Sahraei from Kermashan,Nozad Karimi from Marivan, Veria Moayed from Sanandaj (Sna), Kajan Samadi, 40 years old , and her daughter 18 years old named Shilan Omidpanah from Marivan ”were arrested by the intelligence forces of the Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baneh.

It is worth mentioning that these citizens were detained while the Hamzeh Camp of the ground forces of the Revolutionary Guards of the Iranian government claimed in a statement in May that they had arrested a group of five armed person who wanted to infiltrate the area and carry out sabotage operations. And ammunition were seized.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, citing an informed source in the news agency, the five detainees were ordinary and unarmed citizens. There were no armed clashes between them and the Revolutionary Guards at the time of their arrest, and they did not carry any weapons or ammunition.

It also noteworthy, this announcement and the claim of Hamzeh base are a continuation of the scenarios of the security services of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It is worth noting, that the detainees were transferred to an unknown location after their arrest, and no information on their fate or whereabouts is available at the time of writing.
