KMMK:
According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, Rahim Kholafai, a political and civil activist from Piranshahr (Piranshar) who had recently been threatened and detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, left the country.
This civil activist, who has a history of collaborating with human rights organizations and the Kurdish media, was summoned and threatened several times by the security agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and was forced to leave the country some time ago under pressure from these agencies.
It should be noted that on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran raided the house of Rahim Kholafai’s father, where he lived, and after insulting and threatening the parents and children of this civil activist, sought to arrest him.
It is worth mentioning that this civil activist was informed of the danger of arrest by the security forces through local acquaintances, and after some time of ignorance, he finally managed to leave Iran.
Rahim Kholafai, Rahman’s son, divorced his wife some time ago and has four children.
He has a history of 2 years of continuous cooperation with human rights organizations and Kurdish media outside Iran.
