Five citizens were sentenced to twenty-six years and six months in prison in Oshnavih

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, five citizens of Oshnavih (Sheno) were sentenced by the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in that city and Judge “Rezaei” to 20 years and 6 months in prison, and they were notified today.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Association condemns these citizens, quoting Kurdpa, as follows.

1- Kamal ghutasiof for five years
2- Mohammad Khalid Hamzehpour, five years
3- Rahman Yousefi, five years
4- Aziz Qader Taj, three years
5- Salim Sharifi, two years and six months

It should be noted that these five citizens were arrested by the Iranian security forces on December 14, December 24, January 31and February 1 2021 without a court order. After the interrogation, they were transferred to the Iranian prison in Oshnavih (Sheno). They were temporarily released on bail from the Iranian prison until the end of the trial.

It is noteworthy that these citizens were denied access to a lawyer and family visits during their detention.

According to the report, the charges against the five citizens were “cooperation and membership in a Kurdish party opposed to the Iranian government.”
