On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, a woman with the identity of “Jeyran Abdi”, daughter of Mustafa and resident of Nelas in Sardasht, ended her life by hanging herself.
The cause of the young woman’s suicide was reportedly family problems.
It should be noted that discrimination, lack of legal support, religious restrictions, incarceration and unemployment are the main reasons for female suicide in East Kurdistan.
