On Sunday, January 4, 2026, Omid Ravand, a citizen of Marivan, was detained by security forces without any judicial warrant inside the city. Before that, on Friday, January 2, 2026, Sajjad Bahramigaravand, a 32 years old citizen of Khorramava (Khorramabad), was detained in a similar manner without a judicial warrant.
According to reports, the families of these two citizens’ attempts to obtain information about their whereabouts, health status, and possible charges against them have so far been unsuccessful.
