On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the death sentence of Mahmoud Gheytarani, a 60-year-old resident of the village of Bardaspi in Marivan, was carried out in the central prison of Sanandaj (Sna) under the Iranian regime.
He had been arrested three years ago following a family dispute with his brother and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary on charges of premeditated murder.
