1630 hours without food and more than 9,000 days in prison / Mohammad Nazari is on hunger strike

Kurdistan Human Rights Association: Mohammad Nazari, a political prisoner at the Rajaishahr prison in Karaj, started his hunger strike on August 8, participating in the general strike of the prison. Although the general strike of prisoners has come to an end, Mohammad Nazari is still on hunger strike after 69 days.

He is in his twenty-fourth year of imprisonment. He wants to consider the legal status of his case and the application of Article 134 (Incorporation of sentences) in her case. “According to Article 134 of this law, when a person has committed multiple offenses of up to three crimes, each of them is punishable by different imprisonment and those punishments will not be combined, but only the maximum sentence must be enforced. “To apply this provision, his freedom should be provided.
Mohammad Nazari, suffering from heart disease and neck osteoarthritis, has a poor health condition. A hunger strike reduces his weight and, given his blood pressure and illness, threatens his daily life risk.

Mohammad Nazari, son of Hamdollah, born in 1350 in Bukan, was arrested and sentenced to death on charges of cooperating with one of the Kurdistan opposition parties in 1994. This sentence was reduced to life imprisonment after five years.
