During this week, at least four citizens, including a woman, were executed in Tabriz and Isfahan prisons for drug-related charges and intentional murder. The sentences were executed while not being informed by official sources and media close to the judiciary, to once again highlight the lack of clarity of the judicial system in the execution of heavy sentences.
According to reports, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, Mohsen Hedayat was executed in Tabriz Prison for murdering and Morteza Saadatpur Zini. Also on the same date, the execution sentences of 24 years old Mehnaz Kakayi, who was previously charged with murder, and Ali Sufian, a 40 years old citizen of Shiraz, were executed in Isfahan Prison on drug-related charges.
