According to reports, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, after the funeral of Esmail Karimi in the village of Najafabad, Kamiyaran, IRGC intelligence forces attacked a group of environmental activists from the cities of Javanrood, Ravansar, Paveh, Dehgolan, and Sanandaj, arresting five citizens and taking them to an unknown location.
The names of three of the arrested citizens, who were detained at gunpoint and insulted by security forces, are Amanj Ghorbani, Fardin Movahedi, and Amir Nadimi.
It is worth noting that Esmail Karimi died from severe burns sustained while fighting wildfires in the “Lain” and “Kani Gasheh” areas of Kamiyaran.
