On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the death sentence of 29-year-old Nasrin Barani, a resident of Isfahan, was carried out in the city’s central prison (Dastgerd). She had been convicted of the “premeditated murder” of her former husband.
Nasrin Barani was arrested about four years ago and was later sentenced to qisas (retribution in kind) by the Iranian judiciary.
It is noteworthy that Iranian state-affiliated media have not officially announced or reported the execution of this individual.
