A Citizen Injured Following Direct Shooting by Border Forces

On Thursday, January 25, 2025, a citizen was severely injured as a result of direct gunfire by Iranian border forces targeting a group of border workers near the Hengehzhal border. Jamal Azizi, a 45-year-old resident of Baneh, sustained severe spinal (spinal canal) injuries.

The victim, who was shot without prior warning, was transferred to a medical facility in Saqqez for treatment.
