Baneh; A citizen was sentenced to one year in prison

On Friday, April 15, 2022, “Hoshyar Sha’bani”, 27 years old, son of Mohammad and a Resident of Baneh, was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of the Government of Iran in Saqez, located in Baneh, to one year in prison.

According to the report, Hoshyar Sha’bani was sentenced to one year in prison by the Revolutionary Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran, presided over by Judge Akbar Mirzaei, and sentenced to one year in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” He was acquitted of “collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties in the Iranian government.”

The court suspended the Punishment of 8 months of imprisonment of this citizen for 5 years and suspended the Punishment of 8 months of imprisonment as a precautionary measure and announced that Hoshyar Sha’bani should periodically report to the Iranian Intelligence Service on a regular base In the city of Baneh, introduce and provide the necessary certificate to the unit for the execution of criminal sentences.

It’s worth mentioning that, on November 14th, he was released from the Iranian government’s detention center in Baneh on bail until the end of the trial.


He suffered stomach bleeding during his detention under torture and was taken to hospital.

Hoshyar Shabani was denied the right to a lawyer and a visit during his detention.

On September 5, 2021, this citizen was arrested by security forces without a court order.
