Nahid Kamangar, the daughter of political prisoner Hossein Kamangar, was arrested

According to a report received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Association (KMMK), on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, Nahid Kamangar, a student of Kurdish language and literature at Kurdistan University and the daughter of political prisoner Hossein Kamangar, after summoned to the IRGC’s Office was arrested in Kamiran (Kamyaran) and transferred to the women’s ward of the Government Reform Center in Sna.

It’s noteworthy that no information has been obtained about the reasons for the arrest and the charges against this student.

Nasrin Naqdi and Nahid Kamangar, his wife and child, were repeatedly summoned and interrogated in order to pressure Hossein Kamangar to cooperate and obtain televised confessions in order to pressure Hossein Kamangar to cooperate.

It should be noted that the father of this student, Mr. Hossein Kamangar, a political prisoner imprisoned in the Central Prison of Iran in Saneh by Branch 1 of the I.R’s Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Saeedi, was charged with prostitution through membership in a Kurdish opposition party. The Iranian government has been sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
