Saqez: Imposing a prison sentence on a person

On Thursday March 18, 2021, 56-year-old Amin Maleki in Saqez was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Iranian Government Court (Dadgah Enqelab) in the same city.

According to the report, Amin Maleki was sentenced to four years in prison on charges of membership in a Kurdish opposition party.

It is worth mentioning that he appealed the judgment and that his case was referred to the appellate court.

Amin Maleki was previously a member of a Kurdish party and returned to Iran and Eastern Kurdistan in 2020. Upon his arrival in Iran, he was arrested by Iranian intelligence services and, after five months of interrogation, was temporarily released on bail. In 2012, he was sentenced to three years in prison by an Iranian government court on the same charge. After serving a year in prison, he was released from prison and released from Iran.
