Amid the continued and violent crackdown on the January 2026 protests across various cities in Iran, the identities of six additional citizens who were killed by direct fire from Iranian security forces have been confirmed. Due to a nationwide internet shutdown, along with threats and pressure against the families of those killed, the exact number of victims remains unknown.

According to verified reports, during the protests on Thursday 8 January and Friday 9 January 2026, Milad Baghemalaki (35), Mokhtar Hedayatfar, Milad Mohammadi, and Mahsa Dezfoulian (39), a dentist, all residents of Kermanshah, were killed in Tehran during popular protests after being directly shot by security forces.
In another case, Sajjad Feyzi, a citizen from Kermanshah, was fatally shot in the heart while attempting to assist an injured protester during demonstrations in the city.

Separately, Mozhgan Erfanipour, a citizen from Sabzevar and a mother of two, was killed after being hit by dozens of shotgun pellets at close range while trying to shield one of her children from being shot.
