According to information obtained on Thursday, January 15, 2026, the identities of five Kurdish citizens who died during the popular protests in Tehran and surrounding cities last week due to direct fire from the Iranian regime’s security forces have been confirmed.
According to reports, on Monday, January 5, 2026, Ardeshir Zarei, a 40 years old citizen from Dalaho and a follower of the Yarsan (Qalkhani) religion who lived in Save, was shot in the back of the head while going for a medical examination and to obtain medicine.
Also, during the protests on January 8 and 9 in Tehran, Siavosh Shirzad and Zahra Moradi, both citizens from Bukan, lost their lives due to shooting by security forces. During the same period, Erfan Alizadeh, a 24 years old young man from the city of Lomar in the Ilam province, was killed in the city of Varamin.
In the continuation of this massacre, Seed Milad Rahimi, another follower of the Yarsan (Qalkhani) religion and a resident of the village of Zardeh in the province of Kerend, also died in the city of Karaj due to direct fire from military and security forces.
