On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the execution of Omid Shokri-Pour, a 42-year-old citizen from the Zardalan region in Ilam province, was carried out in Karaj Central Prison.
According to reports, Omid Shokri-Pour had been arrested six years ago on charges related to drug offenses. He was later sentenced to death by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
