On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Zuhair Zeinivand, a 14 years old teenager from Abdanan city in Ilam province, committed suicide and ended his life due to severe economic poverty and despair about the future.
This bitter tragedy is not a natural disaster, but a symbol of the inefficiency of the government structure and disregard for the most basic human rights.
The right to life, the right to education, the right to a bright future are fundamental rights of every child, rights that have been forgotten for years in the shadow of unjust policies and economic mismanagement.
The suicide of this 14 years old teenager is a direct result of the corruption and irresponsibility of government institutions and officials who are the main cause of creating crises and class divisions in Kurdistan and other geographical regions of Iran and have become mere spectators of the collapse of human dignity.
