On Sunday, May 1, 2022, at a gathering of teachers in the city of Marivan in front of the Department of Education on the occasion of May 1, 2022, Iranian government security forces attacked teachers, beating and arresting several teachers.
It is worth mentioning that the plainclothes(Anonymous soldier) forces of the security institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran injured several educators present at the gathering using batons and electric shocks, including Aram Ghaderi, Arkan Zaeb, Ms. Saadi, Omid Rashidi, Mr. Mubarakshahi, Tahsin Mostafa, Saleh Habibi, Shaban Mohammadi, Jabbar Doosti, Mehdi Tafsiri and several other teachers mentioned that they had been attacked by the security forces of the Iranian government.
It is worth mentioning that, after the teachers’ gathering, the security forces arrested several teachers, including Shaban Mohammadi, Iskander Moradi and Massoud Nikkhah.
It should be noted that Shaban Mohammadi was released that afternoon after several hours of detention at the Iranian government’s intelligence office in Marivan, but the fate of the other detainees is still unknown.
