Identities of Three Victims of the January 2026 Protests Confirmed

Based on verified information, the identities of three citizens who lost their lives during the January 2026 popular protests after being directly shot by Iranian security forces have been confirmed.

On Thursday, 8 January 2026, Seiran (Siran) Salehi, a citizen from Baneh and a student at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, was killed during protests in Tehran. Reports indicate that his body was handed over to his family only after the payment of 150 million tomans.

On the same day, Jalil Milanlouei, a Kurdish citizen, was killed during popular protests in the city of Esfarayen.

Continuing the crackdown, on Friday, 9 January 2026, Arian Ghasemi-Nejad, a 14-year-old teenager from Kangavar and a resident of Eslamshahr, Tehran, was killed after being shot by security forces during popular protests.
