In the ongoing and uncertain judicial process concerning Pakhshan Azizi’s case, the Supreme Court has rejected the second request for reconsideration without addressing its merits (reviewing and analyzing the core content of the case) on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Maziar Tataee, one of Pakhshan Azizi’s lawyers, criticized the Supreme Court’s decision for failing to review the provided documents and defenses. He stated: “The department handling the case in the Supreme Court rejected the second request for reconsideration by Pakhshan Azizi’s lawyers without demanding the trial file, declaring our defenses as unfounded. Such reasoning from the department should have been tied to requesting the trial file, which, unfortunately, was not done.
