Marivan; A woman committed suicide

On Sunday, April 25, 2021, a woman committed suicide by taking pills in this week and ended her life.

The identity of this woman is “Shilan Veisi”, 33 year old, resident of “Chor” village of Marivan city.

Until this writing, the reason for this citizen’s suicide is unknown.

Forced marriage, gender discrimination, lack of legal protection for women, poverty and unemployment are major causes of suicide in East Kurdistan.
