According to reports received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Association (KMMK) e. V. , Sunday, March 7, 2021, a young girl, identified as “Alla Ebrahimi”, 16 year old from Saqqez, committed suicide and ended her life.
until this writing, the reason of this citizen’s suicide are not known.
Forced marriage, gender discrimination, lack of legal protection for women and children, poverty and unemployment are major causes of suicide in East Kurdistan.
