Yasuj; Shahab Mohammadian’s trial on charges of “propaganda against the regime”

K.M.M.K:

According to a report by the KMMK News Center, on Saturday, December 27,2025, a hearing on the charges against Shahab Mohammadian, a resident of Yasuj, was held in Branch 102 of the Boyerahmad Criminal Court. Mr. Mohammadian defended himself in this hearing on the charge of “propaganda against the regime.”

According to informed sources, Shahab Mohammadian had previously been summoned to this branch upon receiving a notification. On November 11, 2025, the First Branch of the Boyerahmad Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office issued a summons for him to appear in court. The hearing of this case was held on November 2, presided over by Deputy Prosecutor Nima Ebadinasab.

The KMMK News Center reminds that according to Article 302 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Revolutionary Court has the jurisdiction to hear charges including “propaganda against the regime.” However, in some cities, due to structural limitations, such cases are heard in criminal courts; a practice that, despite legal contradictions, has become common in practice.

Shahab Mohammadian previously faced charges in another case, including membership in a group with the intention of disrupting national security and insulting the leadership, and a guilty verdict in this case was issued in May of this year. He was released on bail in May 2024 after being detention.
