According to reports, on Monday, July 21, 2025, the death sentences of 10 prisoners, including 9 men and 1 woman, were carried out in Yazd Central Prison. These individuals had previously been sentenced to death and self-sacrifice on charges related to drugs and premeditated murder.
According to the report, among these 10 prisoners, 5 were tried and convicted on charges related to drugs and another 5 on charges related to premeditated murder. So far, the identities of three of the convicted drug-related prisoners have been confirmed.
Reza Akhiri, 31, from Minab, Ali Momeni, 40, from Borujerd, Bahram Seyed Nasiri, 46, from Bandar Abbas, and two other prisoners related to drug crimes who were from Bandar Abbas were also executed, but their identities have not been confirmed as of the time of this report.
It should be noted that among those executed on charges related to premeditated murder, the identities of three people have also been determined.
Amirhossein Hassankhani, 35, from Rasht, Fakhreddin Raei, 44, from Tabriz and a resident of Meybod, Atefeh Amini, 35, from Yazd, two other prisoners who were executed on charges of murder, were transferred from Ardakan Prison in Yazd to Yazd Central Prison to carry out their sentences. Their identities have not been determined yet.
As of the time of publication of this report, official media in Iran and judicial institutions have not made any official announcements about these executions.
