Kurdistan Human Rights Deficiency Monthly Report February 2023

The Human Rights Deficiency Report for February 2023 summarizes the efforts of the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, citing reports compiled by the human rights organization.
This report isn’t a complete report due to the lack of permission of the Iranian government to human rights organizations and groups and depicts only a part of human rights violations in Kurdistan.
The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran violates the civil, political and social rights of the Kurdish people by detaining Kurdish citizens, and has continued to do so.
Violations of freedom of opinion and expression, violations of the right to life and personal security, and government discrimination are cases that are perpetrated daily by the Iranian government.

_ Execution
In continuation of the inhumane and hostile policies of the Iranian government , this month we saw the execution of 13 of our countrymen .

_Detention and prison

The Detention and imprisonment of citizens in this month is still increasing, and according to the summarized statistics, more than 82 of our compatriots have been detained in eastern Kurdistan, of which 12 have been sentenced to prison, more than 5 of Thay children and teenagers, as well as 4 of those detained are women, 3 of Them have been sentenced to prison.

_ Kolbars and merchants

The direct firing of armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards resulted in the wounding of 12 kolbers and businessmen , and 3 kolbers also died due to the severity of injuries caused by the accident and another died due to direct gunfire.

_ Murder and Suicide

The number of suicides is still increasing and unfortunately we have seen an increase in the suicide of citizens and especially teenagers under the age of 18 . In this month, more than 10 citizens have committed suicide, 2 women have been killed, 3 others have committed suicide, and 5 men have also committed suicide.

_ Mine
According to the reports received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Association , 3 of our compatriots were seriously injured and lost their lives due to the explosion of a mine this month.


_Shooting at ordinary people

In continuation of the systematic program of the Islamic Republic of Iran to destroy and kill people, 4 people were targeted by the direct fire of these and were killed, and another 1 citizen died in prison due to the lack of medical attention.

Finally, the Human Rights Association of Kurdistan calls on the society and people of Kurdistan to be diligent in achieving their legal and natural rights and to publicize any human rights violations, and to be diligent in creating a free society.
