On Sunday, September 4, 2022, three citizens named “Shahram Kakavand” and “Aziz Yarhashemi”, both residents of Karaj, but both from Harsin, Kermanshah province, and “Payman Suleimani”, from Kohdasht, Lorestan province, were arrested They were transferred to solitary confinement in Karaj Central Prison and executed.
Those three citizens were arrested on charges of drug trafficking in 2019 and were finally executed by the Iranian judiciary.
The news of the execution of the three detainees has not been reported by official Iranian sources.
