Hunger strike of a political prisoner imprisoned in Rajai Shahr prison

According to reports received by the Kurdistan Human Rights association, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj sent a political prisoner identified as “Behnam Musivand” from Nahavand sent him to the hospital with a beating and returnd him to prison without any medical services.
According to the report, Mr. Musivand was beaten by prison officials during his transfer to the hospital for refusing to accept handcuffs and shackles.
He went on a hunger strike after returning from the hospital to protest the current situation.
It should be noted that Behnam Musivand was arrested by the Iranian security forces in Tehran in 2017, then sentenced to five years in prison in 2019 on charges of “conspiracy to act against national security” and to one year on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” and this sentence was confirmed in the Tehran Court of Appeals.
