high bail for the temporary release of Mohammad Moradi
KMMK:
On Sunday, February 27, 2022, the trial of Mohammad Moradi, a political prisoner in Kurdistan, was held by video conference in the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Iran in Mahabad after violating the sentence in the Supreme Court.
After the end of the trial, the court requested a heavy bail of 8 Miliard Tomans for the temporary release of this political prisoner.
It should be noted that the sentence of this political prisoner was violated due to a lack of investigation in Branch 34 of the Supreme Court of Iran and his case was referred to an issuing court for retrial.
Mohammad Moradi has been sentenced by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court to 40 years in prison and exile to the Central Prison of Iran in the city of Urmia on charges of “moharebeh” through membership in a Kurdish opposition party.
He was summoned to the Iranian prison in the city of Naghadeh on Wednesday, May 12, and this sentence was officially announced to him.
In April of this year, the trial of this political prisoner was held in the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Iran in Mahabad, presided over by Judge Javad Gholami.
Mohammad Moradi was previously a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (Iran) and returned to Kurdistan and Iran from the “Kileh” border in Sardasht in August 2017after leaving the party.
Upon his return, security forces affiliated with the IRGC intelligence arrested him and transferred him to the IRGC intelligence detention center in the city of Urmia for interrogation.
This 35-year-old citizen is married and has two children and is currently being held in the Iranian prison in Naghadeh. F.R
