According to the news received by the Kurdistan Human Rights association, On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, A prisoner in the government prison in Khoy, identified as “Iraj Alizadeh”, the son of Alaeddin from the village of “Vaj Vaj” in Salmas, was infected with the black fungus.
He was admitted to Khomeini Hospital in Urmia and doctors were forced to empty one of his eyes, which ended in his death on Thursday, October 28th. According to the report, he was initially infected with the corona virus and transferred from prison to Khoy hospital due to his unfavorable physical condition.
Doctors at the hospital injected Iraj Alizadeh with ampoules of corticosteroids and penicillin, which reportedly caused symptoms of black fungus.
After being diagnosed with the black fungus, doctors in Khoy transferred him to Khomeini Hospital in Urmia, and then in Urmia they decided to empty one of his eyes due to the black fungus.
It should be noted that during the entire period of hospitalization and surgery, Iraj Alizadeh was handcuffed and had four guards, while he is still in limbo.
It is worth mentioning that, after the continuous efforts of the family of the mentioned prisoner to convince the judicial authorities to open the shackles and handcuffs from him, mentioned with the development of infection in the body and transmission to the brain, on Thursday, Oktober 28th, while spending a few days in Coma He lost his life.
It is worth mentioning that Iraj Alizadeh was arrested by Iranian police in Khoy on Friday, April 16, along with another citizen at Ivavoglu Highway.
