Arrest of one person in Piranshahr and transfer of three others to prison in Saqez

According to the information received by the Human Rights Association of Kurdistan, one citizen of Piranshahr was arrested and three citizens of Saqez were transferred to prison.
“Yaser Mangouri”, a citizen of Piranshahr, was arrested by Iranian security forces on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

Despite repeated follow-ups by this citizen’s family, no information has been received as to the reason for this citizen’s arrest and whereabouts as of this writing.

It’s noteworthy that he was previously interrogated once, on charges of “collaborating with a Kurdish party opposed to the Iranian government.”

Another report states that on July 3, three political activists named “Armia Ranjbari”, “Hiva Amini” and “Veria Amini” natives of Saqez introduced themselves to the prison in that city to serve their 4-month and 10-day prison sentences. .

These citizens were arrested on Wednesday, August 26, by Iranian intelligence agents in Saqez and then transferred to the I.R’s Intelligence Detention Center in sna (Sanandaj).

It should be noted that each of these political prisoners was temporarily released on 50 million Toman bail and was tried by the First Branch of I.R.Iran’s Revolutionary Court in Saqez on Wednesday, December 3, on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”

On December 10, 2020, Armia Ranjbari and Hiva Amini were each sentenced to 10 months in prison, and Veria Amini was sentenced to 8 months in prison on the same charge.

The three political activist were each sentenced to 4 months and 10 days in prison by Court of Appeal in early June 2021, and the remainder of their imprisonment was suspended for 15 months.
