Behzad Mahmoudi died of severe injuries

KMMK:
Monday, May 24, “Behzad Mahmoudi”, an asylum seeker from Bokan in East Kurdistan, who set himself on fire in front of the United Nations office in the Kurdistan Region in protest of his asylum process, died of his injuries.
Behzad Mahmoudi burned himself on May 18th in front of United Nations office in Hawler (Erbil), the capital of southern Kurdistan region, on Tuesday, May 18th, in protest of the UN’s failure to handling his demands. He has been denied all the universally recognized rights of refugees, and the United Nations hasn’t provided any assistance to him and other asylum seekers in the region of southern Kurdistan.
The first medical report stated that he had suffered 90% of burns and was under observation and treatment at the hospital, but Mr-Mahmoudi lost his life due to serious injuries.
