Arrest of a journalist and two political activists released from prison

KMMK:
“Amin Mohammadi”, one of the journalists of the Ilam Press House, was arrested on Monday, May 17, 2021, due to a complaint made by an Iranian government institution in the city of “Sirvan” against the Ilam authorities.
The Iranian government’s court in the city of Sirvan issued an arrest warrant for the journalist and he was arrested after a while.
The representative of the Iranian government’s prosecutor’s office in Ilam stated: “Amin Mohammadi was arrested on the orders of the judiciary of the Iranian government’s sentences in the city of Sirvan and had nothing to do with the prosecutor’s office, and they only announced this sentence.”

Also last week, “Omid Ebrahimi” a resident of Shno and “Farhad Tarimoradi” resident of Sna were temporarily released on bail.

The two political prisoners in 2018 and 2019 were sentenced to prison on charges of “collaborating with Kurdish parties in opposition to the Iranian government and acting against national security.”

It should be noted, “Omid Ebrahimi” was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months and “Farhad Tarimoradi” to 10 months in prison.
