On Thursday March 18, 2021, 56-year-old Amin Maleki in Saqez was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Iranian Government Court (Dadgah Enqelab) in the same city.

According to the report, Amin Maleki was sentenced to four years in prison on charges of membership in a Kurdish opposition party.

Upon his arrival in Iran, he was arrested by Iranian intelligence services and, after five months of interrogation, was temporarily released on bail.
