Armed attack on a protest in Stockholm, a member of the Kurdistan Human Rights Association wounded

An armed attack on a demonstration in which civil and political activists and a large number of citizens living in and around Stockholm participated, a member of the Kurdistan Human Rights Association wounded.

This demonstration was organized to protest against the Turkish government and its war and repression against the northern Kurdistan.

The demonstration started in “Södertälje” a town outside Stockholm on the afternoon of 13 February and ended in central Stockholm at 14 the next day.

After the demonstration held in “Södertälje” marched to Stockholm, Södertälje outside were armed people in a black car fired against protesters in which a member of the Kurdistan Human Rights Association named Muhammad Ghafoor was seriously injured.

Ghafoor Mohammadi, who was wounded in the armed attack is from Mahabad in eastern Kurdistan was transferred by helicopter to the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm because of injuries.

At the beginning of the demonstration, a number of nationalist Turks (gray wolf) march in “Södertälje” and attacked the demonstrators. where Swedish police fence one of the members.

Previously, the two attacks with fire materials directed against two Kurdish cultural center in the same area by unknown individuals

Kurdistan Human Rights Association has condemned this terrorist act and called for serious follow-up in this event.
