According to the KMMK report, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, an 18year old young man with the identity of “Sina Karimi” from the village of “Kani pan” in the city of Degolan committed suicide and ended his life.
As of this writing, the reason for this citizen’s suicide is unknown.
Also, in the past few days, a 33 year old woman named “Azizeh Haghighi”, daughter of Mohammad, from Badaki village, Urmia province, was killed by her husband. She is the mother of 4 children.
Forced marriage, gender discrimination, lack of legal protection for women, poverty and unemployment are the main causes of suicide in Kurdistan.
